Muhammad Abdul Quadir / মুহাম্মদ আবদুল কাদির

Poet Principal Md. Abdul Quadir, is born in Sunapur village under Balaganj Upazila of Sylhet District in a farmer family on 1st April 1940. Passed Matriculation Examination from Raja GC High School, Sylhet in 1956 and was placed in First Division with scholarship. Left Sylhet for Chittagong Govt. College under the Dhaka University. Passed MA (English) and MA (History) from Chittagong University. Joined War of Liberation in 1971, when he was a Professor and Head of the Department of English Hathazari Degree College, Chittagong. During the War, worked as Public Relation Officer of Eleven Sectors of the War and was also war-time co-ordinator of Army-Chief General MAG Osmany and Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmed of Exile Mujib Nagar Government. After the war, joined Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as Information Officer from 1971 to 1977. During this time worked as Information Officer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1974 while he was Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Worked Press Secretary of President Justice Abdus Sattr for the year 1977, and the in November left for Saudi Arabia for Hajj. In Saudi Arabia Worked as Founder and First Principal of Bangladesh Embassy Scholl And College for the year 1978. Worked as Administrative Officer in Kung Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah for Five years from 1979 to 1984. Worked as Editor of Muslim World League Journal based in Makkah for 14 years up to 1998. Now living in Cox\'s Bazar with wife and four sons. He is a man of 74 years and working as a freelance Journalist and Columnist.
